If you own a late model GM truck then you know that the front sits considerably lower than the rear. On average this differance is 2.5". In some cases it can be as much as 3.5". Rock Your 4x4 has but together a simple solution to cure your sagging woes. We've combined tubular front control arms from Cognito Motorsports, Off Road Unlimited front shocks, and GM leveling keys. No doubt, this isn't the cheapest way to lift this style truck, but you'll praise the ride and it's unsurpassed performance from a still mostly stock suspension. Sure, you can just crank up the torsion bars with the factory setup, but what you've created is improper upper ball joint angles and suspension"top-out". What does this mean? As the suspension cycles to it's max downtravel, it stops where the shock can no longer extend and the upper ball joint can no longer twist. This creates very accelerated wear on the upper joint and when failing, upper control arm replacement is required. The major components: (1) Cognito tubular upper arms have a replaceable ball joint that actually bolts in, so service is a breeze(should you ever encounter this). In addition, the polyurethane bushings supplied with the arms are greasable via fiitng on each bushing cradle. (2) ORU shocks are longer units to compensate for the extra travel allowed by the new control arms and monotube design. (3) GM torsion keys are indexed so that more adjustability can be achieved by the adjuster bolt. If you desire to add some lift to the rear as well, we offer a 3/4" spacer for the utility's rear coils or a 1" block for the leaf sprung crowd. Add the ORU shocks to the rear to complete your system (excludes some utilities with large body rear shocks, which can be identified by approx. 3" diameter shock body and/or air line entering shock). This is a complete system and includes all labor costs as well as vehicle alignment. Total cost for front system is $990, call for pricing of rear components.
